Winsted BOE extends Superintendent Brady-Shanley’s contract

WINSTED — Superintendent of Schools Melony Brady-Shanley’s contract has been extended by the school district for one more year by the Board of Education.
The board voted unanimously to extend Brady-Shanley’s contract during their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 8.
Brady-Shanley, a West Hartland resident, was hired by the school district in May 2017.
According to Board of Education Chairman Doug Pfenninger, the board recently conducted an evaluation of Brady-Shanley which was positive.
The board approved a 2.9 percent increase to her current salary, from her current salary of $176,000 to $181,104.
The board also approved a salary increase for Brady-Shanley’s role as principal at the Oak Street School, from $30 a day to $50 a day.
