This week in Winsted, two seperate Covid vaccination clinics were held by Griffin Health.
The clinics were open to residents of Winsted, Colebrook, New Hartford and Barkhamsted.
The first one was held on Thursday, April 15 at 44 Elm Street, the old Bank of America building, while the second one was held on Saturday, April 17 at Faith Bible Church on Main Street.

Originally, both clinics were supposed to have administered one dose Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
However, on April 13 the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported that a small number of cases of severe blood clots have developed in people after receiving the vaccine.
According to the FDA, all reports occurred among women between the ages of 18 and 48, and symptoms occurred six to 13 days after vaccination.
It is not known at this time when Johnson and Johnson vaccinations will be allowed to be used again by the CDC and FDA.
In the meantime, residents at the April 15 clinic received vaccines developed by Pfizer, while residents at the April 17 clinic received vaccines developed by Moderna.
The clinics were part of a mobile vaccine unit developed by the state and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
It is not known when further clinics will be scheduled for the area.
