WINSTED/PRESS RELEASE —    From September to November, the town’s Economic Development Commission (EDC) hosted a town-wide Storefront Challenge contest to recognize excellent storefront facade improvements.
Eight local businesses participated in the contest, and according to a press release business owners cleaned up their storefronts, displayed new potted plants, added new side decks, and pavements.
An awards ceremony was held on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Tributary for the winning business owners.
In first place was The Tributary which received a $400 award, second place was Sacred Beauty which received a $200 award, and third place was Papa Boba which received a $100 award.
