Blood drive on Jan. 20

Winter Weekend in Norfolk
NORFOLK — The virtual event Winter Weekend in Norfolk is looking for virtual content. Live streamed and pre-recorded events are needed in order to promote the town. The online event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20. For more information contact Sue Frisch at suefrisch@mindspring.com

Eversource payment assistance and protection programs
Eversource is reminding customers to enroll in one of its payment plans or assistance programs to protect them from service disconnection by calling 800-286-2828. Both residential and nonresidential customers are eligible for payment arrangements at this time. Any residential customers experiencing difficulty paying their utility bill should contact Eversource’s call center to inquire about being coded hardship. Any customers ineligible for hardship status, including both residential and nonresidential customers, should ask about the COVID-19 Payment Program.

NCCC offering Real Estate Principles and Practices course
WINSTED — The Center for Workforce Development at Northwestern Connecticut Community College is offering Real Estate Principles and Practices February 15, 2021 through May 10, 2021. Classes will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:35 to 9:35 p.m. using an online format. This required course for real estate salesperson licensing provides a clear explanation of modern real estate practices and a working knowledge of real estate in Connecticut. Recognized and approved by the State of Connecticut Real Estate Commission, this course meets the minimum 60-hour requirement outlined by the state.
