NORFOLK — The opening day of this season’s Norfolk Farmers Market will be on Saturday, June 13.
The market has been operating for several years and, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the market will operate differently this year.
According to market steering committee chairman Lisa Auclair, customers will now buy products ahead of time via a website.
The website will be open for orders from Tuesday morning until Thursday at noon.
“The website will be able to accept payments through credit card, Paypal or Venmo,” Auclair said. “The Thursday cutoff will give vendors a two-day opportunity to organize orders. Customers will be able to pick their orders up in front of Town Hall on 19 Maple Avenue on Saturdays at the time they specified.”
Auclair said that the Norfolk Farmers Market is following the model created by the Westport Farmers Market to provide for safe purchases.
She said that currently, this year’s market will have the following vendors: Lost Ruby Farm, Norbrook Farm Brewery, The Life I Picked (Les Collines), Dandelion Hill Farm, An Average Jill, Frank and Nance Natural Beauty, Simply Jam, Marc’s Magic Rub and The Beekeepers Basket.
