NORTHWEST CORNER —  Even in the worst of times, you cannot stop music.
Chorus Angelicus, which is part of the nonprofit choral organization Joyful Noise Inc., has put together a video of members from its junior and senior choir performing “Non-Nobis Domine” (“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to thy name give the glory.”)
According to the organization’s office manager Bethany Lee, whose daughter River is a member of the choir, the choir has members from throughout the Northwest Corner, including Winsted and Torrington.
Lee said that the members of the choir are 11 to 18 years old.
“The kids have been unable to meet for rehearsal since mid-March and in the past week they worked on this project via Zoom and Google Classroom,” Lee said.
Lee said that the video was put together by junior choir artistic director Andrew Skinner.“A lot of choirs have been using Google Classroom with the pandemic going around,” Lee said. “Everyone records a piece of music then they all make a very cool video of everyone singing together. It’s very beautiful and they will be working on a piece every week.”
