WINSTED — Students at Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC) got to see clubs and groups in action at the college’s annual Welcome Fair on Sept. 10 held at the Town Green.
Participating in the fair were members of the college’s LGBTQIA+ Club, History Association, Deaf Club, Early Childhood Education Club, Criminal Justice Club and Phi Beta Kappa.
“This college is the crown jewel of Connecticut,” history professor Todd Bryda said. “For the fourth year in a row we’ve been named the number one community college in the state by WalletHub. The community depends on us and we depend on them because we need support in this day and age of budget cuts. This is the only institute of higher learning in Northwest Connecticut and we need to step up and support the college.
